Free Craft Classes – Quilting, Sewing, Photography

Oh crafting how I love thee…and I love you even more when you are FREE!  I’ve been searching my favorite crafty site to help you all find the best Free Craft Classes.  Here they are, in no particular order because I love them all.

1.  Piece, Patch, Quilt: Basic Quiltmaking Skills
I’m a total sucker for quilting, well mostly for making quilt tops and then never actually finishing the blanket.  Some day I really need to post a photo of my stack of in progress quilts.  I could probably keep a small army warm.

2.  Bag Making Basics: Reversible Tote and Zipper Pouch
I’ve been wanting to make the perfect fall handbag – one that is just large enough to haul my kids’ stuff around with me when we’re running errands on the weekends.  I think this one will be perfect!

3.  2015 Craftsy Block of the Month
I used to be part of a quilting bee with some girlfriends and let me tell you, the act of doing a different block every month was actually really exciting.  It was a great way to keep everyone interested.  As our kids got older we all became a bit too busy to keep it going so I think this course would be a great way to get started on my own, and if it’s free then there’s no excuse right?

4.  Machine Embroidered Classics
I’ve had my eye on this machine for a while now, I think I’ll put it on my Christmas wish list and then dive right into this course to help me along!  Have you used this machine, if so please leave me a comment and let me know if you like it.

5.  Professional Family Portraits

Did you know that I’m also a photographer?  I own Blue Egg Photography so of course I had to put a plug in for learning how to work your camera a little better, you can’t beat a good free photography course!
